Matt has twenty five years' experience in investment banking. During his career Matt has worked on a broad range of mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings, restructurings and strategic reviews. His experience includes extensive public market transactions (hostile and recommended takeover offers, takeover responses and schemes of arrangement). Prior to founding Allier Capital, Matt was a director in the investment banking division of Citi and head of its consumer, retail and healthcare investment banking practice. He has also managed major transactions in the resources, industrials and financial services sectors. Matt holds an MBA from the AGSM and Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland.
Trent has 20 years' experience managing mergers, acquisitions, divestments, capital raisings, restructurings, and strategic reviews. Trent’s experience includes ASX-listed and private company transactions in both Australia and the United States. Prior to joining Allier Capital, Trent served as a private transactions and investments advisor to a number of successful organisations and high net wealth families with particular focus on the online technology, media, healthcare, and real estate sectors. Trent holds a B.Inf.Tech degree with Distinction and University Medal, graduating at the top of his class, from UTS and an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business in California, USA.
Sidney has over seventeen years' experience in corporate advisory. Prior to joining Allier Capital, Sidney was an investment banker with Citi and Merrill Lynch. Sidney’s experience includes a broad range of assignments involving large multi-national corporates in industries such as consumer products, retail, teleco, media, building materials, transport and mining. He has worked on some of Australia’s largest mergers and acquisitions transactions and privatisations, and has experience in IPOs and equity issuance markets, bank and debt capital market raisings and capital advisory. Sidney holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Queensland.
Sean has over fifteen years’ experience in corporate finance providing advice to multinational corporations, private equity clients, family-owned businesses and entrepreneurs. Throughout his career, Sean has had a strong focus on middle market transactions having spent six years at Stamford Partners, a London-based consumer-focused, middle market M&A boutique. He has significant cross-border experience having worked on transactions throughout Europe. Prior to his time at Stamford Partners, Sean was with Deloitte’s corporate finance team. Sean holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Applied Finance from Macquarie University, and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
Emmanuel has over fifteen years’ experience in advisory and corporate finance in Australia, Europe and the broader Asia Pacific region, working with domestic and international private equity and the full spectrum of institutional clients (large multinationals, publicly listed groups, entrepreneurs and private companies). Emmanuel has served on the advisory board of an Australian family office, and prior to joining Allier Capital was an Investment Director within Eli Global's direct private investment team. Emmanuel holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney, and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
Prior to joining Allier Capital, Daniel worked as a Consultant in the PwC Deals, Corporate Value Advisory team where he valued a range of businesses and assets for transactions, capital raisings and tax purposes. He also gained experience in the PwC Deals, Debt Capital Advisory team, designing custom securitisation structures and arranging debt financing for government and institutional clients. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Commerce with First Class Honours from the University of Sydney.
Kasey joins us from the consumer and retail division of our partner firm William Blair in Chicago. There she performed comprehensive financial modeling and valuation analyses and executed sell-side M&A for global companies. Kasey holds a Bachelor of Science from Miami University where she studied finance and economics and graduated cum laude.
JL joins us from the healthcare division of our partner firm William Blair in London. There he performed comprehensive financial modeling and valuation analyses and executed sell-side M&A for global companies.
Justin joins us from the services and industrials division of our partner firm William Blair where he focused on sell-side M&A. Prior to William Blair, Justin worked in Portfolio Management at Greystar and in Equity Derivatives at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Justin holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the College of Charleston and is a CFA charterholder.
Prior to joining Allier Capital, Sam worked as an Associate at MinterEllison in their Private Equity / M&A team where he advised financial sponsors and corporates on a variety of M&A and capital market transactions. Sam holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Laws with a major in Finance from the University of Western Australia. Sam is also completing a post-graduate diplomain Applied Finance at Kaplan.
Prior to working at Allier Capital, Louis worked at Allunga Advisory where he was predominantly involved in sell-side M&A and capital raising mandates. There he performed valuation and financial analysis across various sectors such as Technology, Industrials, Retail and Financial Services. Prior to this, he also gained experience in other boutique M&A firms as well as within Origin Energy’s corporate development team. Louis holds a Bachelor of Applied Finance from Macquarie University.
Prior to joining Allier Capital, James worked in BDO’s Corporate Finance team where he was involved in a broad range of corporate advisory engagements across financial due diligence, valuations, IPOs and M&A for leading ASX listed and private mid-market clients. James holds a Bachelor of Economics (First Class Honours) with a major in finance from the University of Sydney and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
Prior to joining Allier, Alex worked as an analyst at Luminis Partners where she was predominantly involved in sell-side M&A and capital markets transactions across a range of industries including telecommunications, energy, industrials and healthcare. She also gained experience in both buy-side and sell-side M&A at Greenhill and Co. in London. Alex holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Bristol in the UK, where she specialised in Geographical Sciences.
Prior to joining Allier Capital, Hamish worked as a Consultant in the Valuations, Modelling and Economics team within EY's Strategy and Transactions division. There he built and audited financial models and performed valuation analysis for transactions and tax purposes working predominantly with Financial Services companies. Hamish holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne.
Prior to joining Allier Capital, Liam worked as a Consultant in EY's Strategy and Transactions team where he gained sell-side M&A experience. Liam holds a Bachelor of Engineering (First Class Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland, where he specialised in Biomedical Engineering and majored in Accounting and Finance. He also passed Level 1 of the CFA Program in 2022.
Prior to joining Allier Capital, Jesse worked as an Analyst in Ord Minnett's Corporate Finance team, where he gained sell-side and buy-side M&A experience. Jesse primarily worked alongside healthcare, consumer and financial sponsor clients within Ord Minnett's M&A team. Jesse holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Advanced Studies from the University of Sydney, where he majored in Finance.
Prior to joining Allier, Max worked as a Consultant in the Valuation, Modelling and Economics team within EY's Strategy & Transactions division. There he built and audited financial models for various financial planning and transaction purposes. Max holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne where he majored in Economics and Finance.
Prior to joining Allier Capital, Christian worked as a Consultant in EY's Finance Consulting team where he focussed on post-merger integration and strategic finance transformation programs. Previously, Christian gained M&A advisory experience at another boutique corporate advisor in Sydney. Christian holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney and passed Level 1 of the CFA Program in 2022.
Catherine has extensive experience in executive support and office administration. Prior to joining Allier Capital, Catherine worked as an executive assistant and office manager at LSI Consulting and Peter R Breed & Partners.
Libby has extensive experience in executive support and office administration. Prior to joining Allier Capital, Libby worked as an executive assistant at Deutsche Bank AG.
